If Google Forms will not meet your needs, it’s important to consider the following when designing and building forms on the web:
Forms can require more of a cognitive load for users to focus on. Therefore, forms should be carefully thought out with accessibility in mind.
Form labels should be explicitly defined and connected to the specific form control.
Errors, and concise information pertaining to how they should be appropriately addressed, should be provided. It should be clear to users how to correct the errors in order to result in a successful submission.
Care should also be taken to ensure focus is properly managed, especially with respect to directing users to fix submission errors in a clear, concise, and consistent manner.
